board-certified ophthalmologist, Dr.Gary Edwards has
practiced comprehensive ophthalmology in Hawaii since
1977. In addition to general ophthalmology and cataract
surgery, he has a special interest in refractive
surgery and is currently one of the leading CK
surgeons in the US.
Dr.
Edwards has performed delicate eye surgeries for over 25
years. He pioneered various refractive procedures
and was instrumental in initiating the first
ophthalmology operated excimer laser center in Hawaii.
He
was also one of the first doctors to bring CK to
Hawaii.
Dr. Edwards is consistently
named one of the Best Doctors
in Hawaii by Honolulu Magazine and is also listed as one of
the Best Doctors in
America.
In addition, Dr. Edwards has had CK
performed on himself and "loves it".
After
graduating from Thomas Jefferson University's
Jefferson Medical College, at 22 years of age, Dr.Edwards completed his
training in ophthalmology at the Thomas Jefferson
University-Wills Eye residency program in Philadelphia.
