Blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure to remove excess skin and fat from the upper and/or lower eyelids. Not only does it improve a patient's cosmetic appearance, but it also can improve vision by lifting up sagging eyelids which obscure vision. The procedure is performed with local anesthesia and usually takes about an hour.
